Antique Puglian ceramic bowl No:5

A wonderful Antique Puglian ceramic bowl. These beautiful rustic bowls are handcrafted and handpainted in southern Italy. The simple blue floral design is characteristic of this area. These glazed terracotta earthenware pieces would look wonderful on a kitchen counter or simply propped up on a shelf or worktop.

Dating from the early 20th century these fabulous antique Italian ceramics have been loved and well used. Delightfully imperfect, these bowls are soft, smooth and tactile to the touch. The distinctive ancient pottery has imperfections aplenty. Please therefore embrace their individuality and beauty and expect historic chips, cracks and repairs. This particular bowl has cracked in half at some point in its life and has been drastically and lovingly repaired - please also refer to the additional pictures for more details.
